"There are ONLY SIX kinds of disturbances that can affect the human body. These are GLANDULAR, ELIMINATIVE, NERVOUS, DIGESTIVE, MUSCULAR, and CIRCULATORY. All diseased conditions, aches and pains, and other discomforts experienced by the body can be attributed to one or more of the above disturbances to the body's 6 systems or Zones."

What Our Patients say about the transformative benefits of The Zone Technique

The Zone Technique

Restore Balance. Improve Function. Feel Your Best.

At Timber Linn Chiropractic in Albany, OR we believe true health begins with balance. The Zone Technique is a powerful neurological chiropractic approach designed to restore communication between your brain and body; allowing you to heal, function, and thrive naturally. If you’ve been struggling with chronic symptoms, low energy, or ongoing health concerns, The Zone Technique may be the missing piece.

Understanding The Zone Technique

The Zone Technique is a neurological chiropractic method originally developed by Thurman Fleet in 1931 as “Zone Therapy.” He taught that the brain functions through six key centers: Glandular, Eliminative, Nervous, Digestive, Musculoskeletal, and Circulatory; which control and regulate the body’s major systems. When stress either physical, chemical, or emotional disrupts one or more of these centers, imbalance and symptoms commonly occur. In 2002, Peter Goldman refined Dr. Fleet’s work into the modern Zone Technique used today. This approach allows chiropractors to identify which brain-body systems are out of balance and correct them at their source. As a Mastermind Certified Zone doctor, Dr. Brown assesses specific neurological reflex points on the head to determine which zones are not functioning properly. He then applies precise spinal stimulation to restore communication between the brain and body. When the zones are balanced, the body can regulate itself more efficiently and heal naturally.

How The Zone Technique Works

The Zone Technique works by:

  • Identifying which of the six zones are imbalanced

  • Applying precise spinal adjustments

  • Stimulating specific neurological reflex points

  • Restoring proper brain-to-body communication

Rather than chasing symptoms, this method addresses the underlying neurological imbalance that may be contributing to dysfunction.

What Can The Zone Technique Help With?

Patients often seek The Zone Technique for support with:

  • Chronic fatigue

  • Hormonal imbalances

  • Digestive issues

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Muscle tension and pain

  • Immune challenges

  • General wellness optimization

Because this technique focuses on the nervous system, improvements are often felt system-wide; not just in one area.
